The pride of being a Rotarian

The Rotarian minute: History

Being a Rotarian is not just belonging to an organization. It is choosing to be useful.

It is looking at the world as it is, with its injustices, its fragilities, and its challenges, and deciding not to remain a spectator.

I am proud to be a Rotarian because, wherever we are, we can
transform an idea into action, a meeting into friendship, a difficulty into hope.

I am proud to be a Rotarian because we do not ask: "What can Rotary do for me?" but rather: "What can I do for others?"

This pride, I feel it every time a donation saves a life, a young person finds their way, a person regains hope, an action brings women and men together around a common cause.

Being a Rotarian is having the chance to give meaning to
one's commitment.

And above all, it is belonging to a community that does not
settle for dreaming of a better world.

It rolls up its sleeves... and it acts.
