Your steps can change a life

The Sun Run is a charity race organized by the Rotary Club Fleurus-Aéropole. The principle is simple: each participant chooses their distance - 5 or 10 km, running or walking - at their own pace, alone or in a team.

All proceeds are fully donated to three local associations: Stroke and Go, which supports stroke victims and their families, Les Frangines, which supports women victims of violence, and the Charleroi Food Bank, which fights against food insecurity in our region.

This is not a competition. It is a day of movement, meeting, and commitment. Whether you are an experienced runner or a casual walker, your presence matters and every kilometer you cover has a real impact on lives close to home.

Discover The Causes

There are thousands of causes that deserve our attention. For this first edition, we had to make a choice, and we focused on three areas: women and children, poverty, and health. Our club will continue to support other important causes in the future, and we will do our best.

The Frangines ASBL

A refuge to rebuild one's life, safe from violence

Les Frangines welcomes women victims of domestic violence, often accompanied by their children, at a time when they sometimes have nowhere to go. The organization offers them secure housing, away from their abuser, and a stable environment to regain their footing after months or years of fear.

Stroke and Go ASBL

A stroke can change a life in 1 minute.

For many, this will be followed by a long rehabilitation journey to learn to walk, to speak, to reclaim their body which has sometimes become limiting compared to what they once knew. The path is often long for them and their families.

By participating in La Course du Soleil, every kilometer covered helps to fund adapted equipment, rehabilitation activities, and support that the healthcare system does not always cover.

The Food Bank of Charleroi ASBL

Because no one should have to chase after their next meal

The Food Bank of Charleroi supports hundreds of families in the region every week who are struggling to make ends meet.

The food needs are constantly increasing for these families, women, and children often precarious due to illness, loneliness, and exclusion. That is why every euro raised during the race really counts.
